Learning and Development Apprenticeships
Panda are working in partnership with ALS Ltd to deliver Learning and Development Apprenticeships.
The Apprenticeship is open to anyone self employed, or employed (for 16 hours or more) who wants to develop their knowledge and skills in learning and development including training delivery and assessment.
The Apprenticeship includes the Level 3 Certificate in Learning and Development as well as essential skills in literacy and numeracy (although exemptions apply if GCSE certificates can be provided) and the exciting new Digital Literacy Essential Skill at Level 2, which teaches of the use digital tools for collaboration and productivity.
Units are chosen based on personal and career goals. Evidence is produced through monthly assessment visits with an assessor and self-study.
The qualification is suitable for Training Officers, Instructors, Assessors, Tutors and Trainers, delivering learning to individuals or groups. Units include L&D theory, reflective practice, facilitiation of learning, resource development, assessment and meeting employer needs (where appropriate).
There are three workshops to help develop key knowledge of the sector including:
- Vocational Learning – the learning cycle, motivation, roles and responsibilities, giving feedback, reflective practice
- Effective Assessment – planning assessment, monitoring progress, AfL, holistic assessment, making assessment decisions, quality assurance,
- Inclusive Learning – initial assessment, overcoming barriers to learning, facilitating the learning process
