Coaching for Learner Progression

Support, encourage and motivate learners with a coaching approach.

Designed for tutors, trainers, and assessors working with post-16 learners, this practical one-day course will equip you with essential coaching skills to motivate your learners and encourage them to take ownership for their learning.

You’ll explore the key functions of coaching for learning, understand the difference between coaching and mentoring, and learn how to apply the GROW model to coach learners effectively.

Through practical techniques like active listening and powerful questioning, you’ll gain the confidence to engage learners in meaningful coaching conversations, helping them set and achieve realistic development goals.

Using these techniques with your learners will help you to empower them to take responsibility for their work, support them in making employment and life decisions, and take ownership of their qualification.
