Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices
If you are responsible for quality checking qualifications to ensure they meet Awarding Organisations standards, then the IQA qualification (Agored Cymru Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment) is for you.
Our course will explore the importance of effective quality assurance. We will help you understand your role as an IQA, your responsibilities in terms of Awarding Organisations and the law. We will help you develop softer skills to develop and support assessors and their assessment practice.
You will attend 4 online workshops, complete 2 assignments and work with our Learning Adviser to carry out IQA activity working with at least 2 assessors in your own centre.

Introduction to Neurodiversity for Educators
As the awareness of neurodiversity increases, more and more people are being diagnosed, or suspect they are neurodiverse
This workshop, delivered by Esther Barrett, ADHD Coach, who was diagnosed with ADHD four years ago, provides educators with an overview of neurodiversity including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and autism; the challenges that neurodeivers people face and strategies to help with learning and work.
During this half day workshop, our expert facilitator will guide you through proven strategies, hands-on techniques, and a repertoire of activities aimed at increasing your confidence in working with and supporting neurodiverse learners

Coaching for Learning
This one-day accredited workshop (accreditation optional) provides tutors, trainers and assessors with an introduction to coaching skills they can use to help their learners progress with qualifications, or into employment or further study.
The course will explore:
- The Functions of Coaching for Learning
- The difference between coaching and mentoring
- How to use the GROW model to coach learners
- How to use coaching techniques including active listening and questioning
- How to engage people in coaching conversations to define and achieve realistic learning development goals
Joining our accredited Coaching for Learning course is beneficial for enhancing skills, credibility, and effectiveness in supporting learners’ development. It provides a foundation of knowledge and expertise that contributes to successful coaching experiences.

If you want to become a qualified assessor, this course is for you.
There are four pathways to choose from depending on your role and whether you are currently assessing.
If you do not have learners, you will complete the Level 3 Award in the Principles and Practices of Assessment
If you assess in a classroom / workshop environment, you will complete the Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Skills
If you assess in the workplace, you will complete the Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
If you assess both knowledge and competence, you will complete the full Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
The course is delivered split into 3 parts:
- 4 half day workshops delivered via Zoom
- The completion of 3 assignments.
- Practical work – carrying out assessment activity (if relevant)

Level 4 Award in Learning and Development
This qualification is made up of one mandatory and one optional unit. There are 2 x 1 day workshops that will help develop knowledge of the principles, theories and practices in Learning and Development
The course is aimed at practitioners such as tutors, trainers, assessors and quality assurers who want to develop their skills and knowledge in their own area of learning delivery.
You will meet other practitioners who are responsible for process, people or practice within Learning and Development. You will get to share good practices and ideas for improvement and will be able to apply these in your workplace.
You will be expected to carry out research, complete assignments and implement change in your organisation, with the mentoring support of our Learning Advisor.

Certificate in Leading IQA Level 4
This course is for people who would be responsible for the leading the IQA process within an organisation. This includes managing or coordinating the work of a team of quality assurers. This course will help Lead IQA’s to plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility, and make any necessary changes to original work plans.
In order to complete this Leading IQA qualification, you must already be a qualified Assessor and have achieved the Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment qualifications.
