This has created a demand for innovative training solutions with skilled trainers who can impart knowledge and inspire learners in creative ways.
Training itself is a skill that requires not only theoretical knowledge and specialist skills, but also practice in order to be fully effective. This apprenticeship gives you the chance to truly hone your skills as a learning professional in a supportive environment whilst gaining an industry recognised qualification to improve your CV.

There are a broad mixture of technical skills and softer skills required to facilitate learning. Technical or ‘hard’ skills include specialist subject knowledge, performing skills assessments and preparing interactive learning materials are. Whereas ‘softer’ skills such as verbal communication and engaging learners are equally important in this context.

4. An opportunity to reflect on and improve your own practice
The learning and development apprenticeship offers a structured learning environment but also the opportunity to reflect on your own training style.
Our busy lives rarely leave enough time for professional self-reflection, but you could be doing yourself a disservice by not setting time aside for reflection. In the skills and education industry it’s especially important for us practitioners to reflect and improve.
There is no room for growth inside your comfort zone, so by spending time reflecting on your practices as a trainer, you’re also allowing yourself to grow professionally and also enabling yourself to be more creative and innovative.
Your self-reflection time is your opportunity to focus on your own learning goals – the learning and development apprenticeship will provide you with the space you need to reflect and grow as a professional.
5. Advance your career with new opportunities
Are you hoping to advance your career into a higher paid role with more responsibilities? Do you have a 5-year or even a 10-year career plan? Or, are you not sure which career path you’d like to take at the moment?
Many recruiters and employers will often ask for a relevant learning and development qualification for all professional training roles. Freelance trainers who take on contract work also need to stand out above the competition, especially when promoting their services online.
