Panda are very proud to have delivered 7 events in partnership with the National Training Federation for Wales over the past year.
Panda are passionate about providing staff working in post-16 education the CPD they need to be the best they can be, to provide an excellent learning experience to the learners (and employers) receiving apprenticeships.
The workshops Panda have delivered include:
From Expert to Educator: how do learners learn; the role of an assessor / tutor as educator; learning through dual coding, coaching and competition.
Plan2Reflect: 5 minute solutions to planning assessment and lesson plans; the importance of reflective practice for learners and practitioners and tools to make it easier
Review2Improve: use of questioning techniques to negotiate targets and feed forward; techniques to develop written feedback to learners
Embedding ESDGC: how to pull ESDGC out of qualifications and learning programmes instead of shoe-horning it in
Embedding Cross-Cutting Themes: including British Values, WellBeing of Future Generations Act; Welsh Language and Culture; Digital Literacy; Literacy & Numeracy
Innovative Planning Assessment: exploring the purpose of different plans and the importance of allowing time for planning; introducing some new tools for effective planning of educational programmes and assessment
Succeeding with Higher Level Learners: explores motivation; study skills and having professional discussions
These workshops received excellent feedback. Practitioners are able to have CPD hours for attendance and have new tools, techniques and skills to take away and use in their roles.
